Redox lab- text pages to help with the lab write-up

REDOX TITRATION LAB

the link below will take you to the lab worksheet.  Fill in your data from today's lab, save the document onto your computer and then upload or "send to" the document to your dropbox folder.

Do not stress if this doesn't work out -- you will still have your hard copy from today's lab to hand in if the drop box thing doesn't work or you cant access the link.

FINAL EXAM REVIEW PACKAGE!

It is that time... time for review.  The Chemistry 12 final exam will be on Friday, June 22nd from 9am - 12pm in the school theatre.
The "mock replacement exam" will be on Monday, June 18th during regular scheduled class time.  You may use your mark on this exam to replace your lowest unit exam score. If you do not do well on the mock - it will not affect your grade in any way.

The link below will take you to a review package that covers all the Prescribed Learning Outcomes (PLO's) for the course.  The answer key will be posted later.  You can also use the anglefire chem website and the ministry websites to access complete provincial exams for practice and the answer keys are provided for you as well on those sites -- they are on the right-hand sidebar of this blogg.

Titrations

On Monday we started Titrations -- most of this is a review as we have already covered titrations in Chem 11 and in Chem 12 solubility unit.  Read through the notes below for review.  There are several examples of titration problems.  They can be used to determine purity or molar mass of samples.

The "Titration Analysis worksheet that will be due on Wednesday is below.  Watch for the diprotic acids and only taking the titration trials within 0.1 ml of each other!  The answers to these problems are in the photo of the board so you can see if you are on the right track.
